Wilburn H. Wigley

On the morning of Dec. 1, 2017, Wilburn H. Wigley of Vicksburg returned to God the gift of life on this earth he was given 87 years ago. He is now with God, friends and family who have gone before him.

Mr. Wigley leaves behind a devoted wife of 66 years, Sara Wigley; two sons, Glen Wigley of Seattle, Wash. and Brandon Wigley (April) of Vicksburg; three daughters, Sherrel Tarleton (Mark) of Dallas, Texas, Kathy Miller (Mike) and Gloria Brown of Vicksburg, 10 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren; a brother Roy Wigley (Linda) of Mendenhall and a sister Barbara Purvis (Dene) of Magee.

Mr. Wigley is a veteran of the United States Army and was awarded the Silver Star during The Korean Conflict. He was also a longtime member of the W.H. Stevens Masonic Lodge and Acacia Eastern Star.

Visitation will be Tuesday, Dec.5 from 9-11 a.m. at Warrenton Independent Baptist Church, 829 Belva Drive with services immediately after. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Gardens Cemetery.
