A Springfield 9 mm handgun was reported taken Wednesday before noon from a car parked at Atwood Chevrolet, 2339 North Frontage Road, Vicksburg police Sgt. Johnnie Edwards said.

An employee at the car dealership said he parked his 2004 Volkswagen Jetta on the lot when he came to work. When he returned to the car at lunch, the gun was missing.

In other cases:

• Two Dewalt compressors were reported taken sometime between Dec. 1 and Wednesday from Enterprise Rent A Car, 4105 Washington Street.

• Johnny Benard Curry, 18, was arrested about 10:46 p.m. Wednesday in the 2700 block of Alcorn Drive on a charge of contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

Vicksburg police responded to the following call Wednesday:

• 11:35 a.m., 3500 Block of Pemberton Square Boulevard, shoplifting.
