LEXINGTON, Ky. — Kenneth Craig Washington Sr. died Sunday, Dec. 3, 2017, at Baptist East Hospital in Louisville, Ky. He was 44.

Kenneth was born Dec. 4, 1972, to Steve Washington Jr. and the late Staff Sgt. Jerlene “Muchee” Slaughter-Patterson.

Kenneth was a 1991 graduate of Vicksburg High School; he played varsity football with the VHS Gators. He also earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from McKendree College in Lebanon, Ill., and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Phoenix.

Kenneth was a veteran of the United States Army and a member of the Louisville Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc.

He leaved to cherish his loving memories his wife, Astacia Denise Beatty. They have three beautiful children, Kenneth Craig Washington Jr., Kendra Denise Washington and Ashton LaMar Washington.

Kenneth was preceded in death by his sister, Tamara Annette Washington-Hull; stepfather, Carl Patterson; paternal grandparents, Steve and Jessie Washington; and maternal grandparents, Terry and Modell Slaughter.

Visitation will be Saturday, Dec. 9, 2017, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 9, 2017, at New Vine Baptist Church in Lexington, Ky. Burial will follow at New Vine Baptist Cemetery.
