A Warren County man was being held without bond in the Warren County Jail after his arrest Thursday on a circuit court warrant for failing to register as a sex offender, Sheriff Martin Pace said.

He said David Chase Cooke, 27, failed to appear in court Nov. 30 on the charge and the judge issued a warrant for his arrest. He said deputies acting on a tip arrested Cooke about 9:30 p.m. at a home in the 3700 block of Halls Ferry Road, where he was hiding in the closet.
