Vicksburg woman shot while in vehicle

A Vicksburg woman was wounded Saturday night while she was a passenger in a car.

Caleb Calvin told police responding to a shooting call about 9:01 p.m. at Merit Health River Region. She was a passenger in a car traveling in the area of First North and South streets when she heard about 15 gunshots and felt a tingling in her feet. She was treated and released. Police have no suspects in the shooting.

• $900 was reported taken about 12:59 a.m. Sunday from a 2004 Ford Mustang parked at the Beechwood, 4451 Clay St.

• A counterfeit $20 bill was reported passed Friday at the Ameristar Casino.

• A red 1996 Ford Explorer, blue 1999 Venture van and a green 1978 Dodge van were reported taken about 9:24 a.m. Friday from a home in the 900 block of Hillcrest Street.

• A Husky power saw and a gold watch were reported taken about 5:01 p.m. Thursday from a 1992 Toyota Camry parked on Dabney Street.

• Two counterfeit $20 bills were reported passed Thursday at the Riverwalk Casino.

Police responded to the following calls between Friday and Sunday:

• 10:36 a.m. Sunday, 5200 block of U.S. 61 South, trespass less than larceny.

• 3:26 a.m. Sunday, shots fired in the area of Sky Farm Avenue and Sky Vale Drive.

• 3:28 p.m. Sunday, shots fired in the area of First North and Grove streets.

The following arrests were made between Friday and Sunday:

• A warrant was served on Rebecca Cheyenne Coulter Sunday about 9:15 p.m. at the intersection of Clay and Monroe streets.

• Derrick Derrell Turner was arrested about 8:37 p.m. Sunday in the 2100 block of U.S. 61 North on charges of third-offense DUI, expired or not driver’s license and no proof of insurance.

• John Curtis Green was arrested about 7:12 p.m. Sunday in the 2000 block of Grove Street on charges of expired or no driver’s license, no proof of insurance, leaving the scene of a wreck, failing to aid an injured person and failure to yield right of way.

• Newell Martez Jaynes, was arrested about 2:33 p.m. Sunday on Pemberton Square Boulevard on a charge of first-offense shoplifting.

• Thomas Bruce Wilkerson was arrested about 9:48 a.m. Sunday in the 2100 block of Iowa Boulevard on a charge of contempt of court — community service.

• A warrant was served on Anthony Dale Edmond about 1:41 a.m. Sunday in the 3100 block of Indiana Avenue.

• Alton Dewayne Sims was arrested about 8:33 p.m. in the 1200 block of Cherry Street on a charge of public drunkenness.

• Toto Lucid Serrano was arrested about 11:41 a.m. Saturday on U.S. 61 South on charges of expired or no driver’s license and seatbelt violation.

• Darysha Lashae Montgomery, was arrested about 9:47 a.m. Saturday on Iowa Boulevard on charges of repeated harassing phone calls, contempt of court and disorderly conduct — failure to comply.

• A warrant was served on Shaquille Shanta Dillon about 3:14 a.m. at the intersection of Halls Ferry Road and Cherry Street. Dillon was also charged with having an expired or no driver’s license and running a red light/stop sign.

• Katina Lashuana Minter was arrested about 11:45 p.m. Friday in the 4100 block of Washington Street on charges of leaving the scene and failing to stop to help an injured person.

• Comelia Binakle Floyd was arrested about 10:06 p.m. Friday at the intersection of Crestwood Drive and Halls Ferry Road on a charge of petit larceny.

• Three warrants were served on Deann Shanta Sims about 8:42 p.m. Friday at Drummond and Polk streets.

• Felisha Ann Jones was arrested about 8:21 p.m. Friday in the 3000 block of Indiana Ave. on a charge of first-offense shoplifting and was served a warrant on a separate matter.

• Patricia Ann Kie Vaughn, was arrested about 4:59 p.m. in the 2100 block of Iowa Boulevard on a charge of first-offense shoplifting.

• Aleander Richelle Brass was arrested about 4:59 p.m. in the 2100 block of Iowa Boulevard on a charge of first-offense shoplifting.

• Muntre Allen Wade, was arrested about 10 a.m. Friday at the Vicksburg Police Department on three charges of contempt of court.

• Kenneth Wayne Harrison, was arrested about 4:56 a.m. Friday at 3955 Clay St. on charge of harassing phone calls.

• Six warrants were served on Dominique Yasmen Washington about 2:50 a.m. in the 3100 block of Indiana Avenue. She was also charged with two counts of contempt of court.

• A warrant was served on Antonio Dewayne Gordon was arrested about 1:23 a.m. Friday in the 11 block of Robert Road.

• A warrant was served on Wanda Lynn Masters about 12:03 a.m. in the 4400 block of Clay Street.
