TUPELO — Louie Winston Mullins, 84, died at his residence in the Brewer Community of Lee County on Saturday, Dec. 23, 2017.

Louie was born on Jan. 20, 1993, in Meadville. He was the second oldest of 12 children of Louie and Bessie Rollins Mullins.

He graduated Meadville High and entered the U.S. Navy during the Korean War, honorably discharging after four years of service with two bronze stars serving on the USS Pierce.

He worked as a welder for the R.G. LeToureau, retiring after 43 years of service.

A service celebrating his life, with military honors, was held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 26, 2017, at Cross Pointe Ministries with burial at Brewer Cemetery in Shannon.
