Margaret Kearns Blackwell died Friday, Dec. 22, 2017.

Born in San Diego, Calif., she had been a resident of Vicksburg most of her life. Margaret was the daughter of the late Billy Lee Kearns and Joy David Kearns.

She was a member of the Baptist faith.

Margaret is survived by a daughter, Angela Kay Hill; son Brian “Rusty” Blackwell, (Summer); grandchildren, Ben Hill, Lee Hill, Hannah Hill, Hailey Blackwell, Courtney Blackwell, Gavin Blackwell, Laraedoe Kirby, David Medina and Hannah Medina; sister, Chris Flanagan (Mack), two nephews, Billy Wayne Comans (April) and Bobby Lee Comans; and other relatives including Jack Hill Jr.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Ernest Carroll Blackwell; and a son, David Carroll Blackwell.

Services will be 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 30, 2017, at Riles Funeral Home with visitation from 1 p.m. until the service. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Leukemia Society and the March of Dimes.

Pallbearers will be Drew Hinson, Jamie Bridges, Ben Hill, Bobby McCammon, Billy Comans and Mack Flanagan.

Honorary pallbearers will be J. O. Smith, Jack Hill Jr., Bobby Comans and Lionel Watts.
