A Vicksburg native was one of two people found dead in a car in Jackson Thursday morning.

Jackson Police Department Sgt. Roderick Holmes confirmed that Vicksburg native Laura Francis Peyton, 33, and Casey Ross Vaughn, 31, were found unresponsive in a Nissan Altima on Hilda Drive near Beasley Road around 7:30 a.m. Thursday when a citizen found the car.

Holmes said there was no apparent signs of trauma to their bodies and the cause of their deaths remains unknown at this time pending the results of an autopsy and toxicology report
