VPD responds to multiple assaults and trespassing calls

Even with the holiday over the weekend there was no break for the Vicksburg Police Department as officers responded to 18 calls including multiple simple assaults and trespassings from Dec. 22 to 27.

The incidents reported during that period were:

• Discharge of a firearm in city limits reported Dec. 22 at 6:23 p.m. hours in the area of Porters Chapel and Wisconsin avenues.

• Malicious Mischief reported Dec. 22 at 10:25 a.m. in the 3500 block of Pemberton Blvd.

• Trespassing reported Dec. 22 at 5:26 p.m. in the 3500 block of Pemberton Blvd.

• Malicious Mischief reported Dec. 23 at 10:04 a.m. in the 1300 block of East Ave.

• Trespassing reported Dec. 23 at 2:49 a.m. in the 2900 block of Drummond St

• Simple Assault reported Dec. 24 at 12:52 p.m. in the 500 block of Farmer St.

• Simple Assault reported Dec. 24 at 4:55 p.m.in the area of Grove and Hope St.

• Malicious Mischief reported Dec. 24 6:01 a.m. in 3900 block of Washington St.

•Malicious Mischief reported Dec. 24 at 5:56 a.m. in the 3400 block of Halls Ferry Road.

• Simple Assault Creating Fear reported Dec. 25 at 12:43 p.m. in the 1000 block of Warrenton Road.

• Harassment reported Dec. 26 at 11:53 a.m. in the 300 block of Northridge Drive.

• Shoplifting reported Dec. 26 at 2:47 p.m. in the area of 3400 Halls Ferry Road.

• Trespassing reported Dec. 26 at 5:21 p.m. hours in the 1300 block of Bay St.

• Telecommunications Electronics reported Dec. 26 11: 46 p.m. in 2100 block of Iowa Blvd.

• Disturbance reported Dec. 27 at 12:45 p.m. in the area of 2000 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd.

• Fraud reported Dec. 27 at 2:27 p.m. in the 2300 block of Washington St.

• Disturbance reported Dec. 27 at 5:02 p.m. in the 1600 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd.
