Mamie Lee

Mamie Lee died Sunday, Jan. 14, 2018.  She was 79.

Mrs. Lee was a native of Yazoo County and had lived in Vicksburg since 1974. She was the daughter of the late Edgar Sylvester and Ada Lowery Woods. She was a member of Wayside Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Lee was preceded in death by a brother, Vernon Woods.

She is survived by her husband, Bree Lee Jr.;  her children, Cathalene Cook of Terry, James Hammack (Jeannie) of Vicksburg, David Hammack (Hazel) of Vicksburg, Elizabeth Hammack-Taylor of Jacksonville, Fla., David Lee (Carol) of Gainesville, Fla., Cindy  Lee Beasley (William) of Longview, Texas, and Roxie Corbin of Denham Springs, La.; two sisters, Flora Mae Hicks of Jackson and Javern Gramling of Indianola; 11grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday, Jan. 19, 2018, at Riles Funeral Home with the Rev. Chris Williams, pastor of Wayside Baptist Church officiating.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 18, 2018 at the funeral home and Friday From 11:30 a.m. until the hour of service.

Interment will be at the Lee Family Cemetery, 114 Blackwell Drive, Vicksburg.
