Drivers taken to hospital following wreck

- Vicksburg Police, Sheriff Department, EMS and Culkin Fire respond to a head on collision that occured around 12:50 P.M. on Oak Ridge Road Wednesday. Witnesses to the wreck said that one vehicle that was traveling East on Oak Ridge Road lost control causing it to veer into oncoming traffic colliding with an westbound vehicle. Two people were taken to the hospital following a near head-on collision Wednesday afternoon.
Warren County Sheriff Martin Pace said a 2014 Nissan Altima, driven by Andrea Kitchens, that was westbound on Oak Ridge Road and hit by a 2001 Ford truck, driven by David Ogan, that was eastbound around 12:45 p.m.
“Ogan was transported by Vicksburg Fire Department Ambulance to River Region Medical Center,” Pace said. “Kitchens did not go by ambulance, but was later taken by private vehicle.”
Pace said the accident remains under investigation by Sgt. Silento McMorris and traffic investigation specialist Connie Rickets and no cause has been determined.
