The Vicksburg Police Department responded to four incidents Thursday.

Units responded to a simple assault with bodily injury at 6:21 p.m. in the 900 Block of Polk Street. At 2:56 p.m. VPD responded to a shoplifting report in the area of 2150 Iowa Boulevard.

VPD responded to a simple assault with bodily injury at 3:02 p.m. in the 2400 Block of Haining Road. They also responded to a malicious mischief at 5:21 p.m. hours in the 100 Block of Buena Vista Drive.

Police also made the following arrests on Tuesday and Wednesday:

• Neshekia Shanta Wells, 34, 716 Dabney St., was arrested about 1:47 p.m. Wednesday in the 1600 block of Culkin Road on three counts of contempt of court.

• Alonzo Benard McRunnels, 38, was arrested about 1:47 p.m. on a charge of contempt of court.

• Keciyauna Kenea Ellis, 18, 8820 U.S. 61 South, was arrested about 2:45 a.m. Wednesday in the 1300 block of Walnut Street on a charge of disorderly conduct — failure to comply.

• Eric Lee Deangelo Williams, 25, 1215 Jefferson St. No. 44, was arrested about 9:47 a.m. Tuesday in the 3400 block of Halls Ferry Road on a charge of first-offense shoplifting.

• Richard Anthony Jordan Courtier, 28, 127 B Clear Creek, was arrested about 9:19 a.m. Tuesday in the 3900 block of Washington Street on a charge of trespassing.
