John Francis Bove’, age 73, passed away Friday evening, Feb. 9, 2018, at M. D. Anderson, Houston, Texas.

He was a lifelong resident of Vicksburg, born to the late Bernard and Hazel Wright Bove’ on Sept. 11, 1944. He graduated at the top of his class from St. Aloysius and the University of Mississippi School of Pharmacy. He worked for 50 years at Peoples Drug Store, which he later owned for over 40-plus years. He worked tireless for his business and his patrons. He was a founding member of St. Michael Catholic Church.

John is survived by his wife of thirty years, Dr. Anita Tribble Bove’; son, Samuel Colins Bove’; uncle, Frank Wright and numerous cousins.

Pallbearers will be Hank Ditto, Bo Wright, Freddie Harris, McKenzie Cox, James McCaskill, Howard Graham and Richard Murphy.

Honorary Pallbearers are Mrs. Wendy Trevillon, Dr. Joe Deal, Dr. Farhad Ravanki-Kashani and Dr. Paul Pierce III.

Visitation will be Thursday, Feb. 15, 2018, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Frank J. Fisher Funeral Home and Friday, Feb. 16, 2018, at 10 a.m. at St. Michael’s Catholic Church.

A Funeral Mass will be Friday, Feb. 16, 2018, at 11 a.m. with Fathers Gerald Hurley, P. J. Curley and Robert Dore with interment to immediately follow at Cedar Hills Cemetery.
