Ray Dean Atchley, born Feb. 9, 1952, in Oneida, Ark., died Tuesday, Feb. 13, 2018, in Birmingham, Ala.

He was preceded in death by his father, William Alex Atchley; mother, Bunice Kelly Atchley; brothers, W.A. Atchley, Thomas Atchley, Jimmy “Hillbilly” Atchley, nephew, Jeffrey Alex Atchley; and great-nephews James “JR” Cook and Jacob Lee Rauls.

He is survived by one brother, James Robert Atchley Sr. (Linda); and numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorial service will be at Southside Baptist Church Saturday, Feb. 17, 2018, at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Greg Clemts officiating.
