Pickup gets stripped

A 1967 Chevrolet C-10 pickup parked behind the Mobil 1 Lube Express, 4326 U.S. 61 South, was stripped of parts sometime Monday night, Vicksburg police Sgt. Johnnie Edwards said.
He said employees at the business reported the theft about 8:07 a.m. Tuesday. Taken from the truck were a passenger side door, radiator and fan assembly, dash, radio and door speakers, a tailgate and taillight covers.
In other cases:
• Shots were reported fired about 10:07 a.m. Tuesday at the intersection of Sky Farm Avenue and Maulding Drive.
• Shots were reported fired about 8:24 p.m. Tuesday in the 1200 block of Forest Street.
• Shots were reported fired about 9:38 a.m. in the 1800 block of Sky Farm Avenue.
Police made the following arrests Tuesday:
• Warrants were served on Stephanie Margaret Merritt, 35, 1820 Clay St.
• Roy Daniel Davis, 55, 1416 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., was arrested about 2:46 p.m. in the 1500 block of Washington Street on a charge of possession of an open container of alcohol.
• George Lee Miller, 54, 1307 1/2 Lane St., was arrested about 5:45 p.m. in the 1500 block of Lane Street on two counts of contempt of court. He was also served with warrants.
• Tommy Lee Ames, 25, 260 Ironwood Drive, was arrested about 8:14 p.m. at the intersection of East Clay Street and Berryman Road on charges of resisting arrest, having no lights operating and failure to yield to an emergency vehicle.
• Zachary Bernard Blackmore, 22, 1116 Randolph St., was arrested about 8:50 p.m. on two counts of contempt of court, seatbelt violation, no proof of insurance and driving with an expired license.
• Patrick Lamond Hall, 36, 1042 Meadows St., was arrested about 10:38 p.m. on charges of public drunkenness and disorderly conduct.
• Della Judge Richardson, 59, 410 Lake Hill Drive A-7, was arrested about 6 p.m. Friday on a charge of contempt of court. She was also served with warrants.
• Jennifer Nicole Knight, 42, 612 LaSalle St., Tallulah, Louisiana, was arrested about 5:32 p.m. Friday in the 2100 block of Iowa Boulevard on a charge of first-offense shoplifting.
• Michael James Thomas Jr., 29, 102 Elm Drive, was arrested about 9:57 a.m. Friday on a charge of contempt of court.
