The process of completing a strategic plan for Warren County continues and officials are still seeking input and feedback regarding the community’s economic development efforts.

In November, VisionFirst Advisors, led by former executive director of the Mississippi Development Authority Gray Swoope, was hired to direct the strategic planning process and plan. It’s primary objective is to create a community strategy that will clarify common objectives and outline an action plan for implementation.

Vicksburg Warren County Economic Development Director Pablo Diaz said VisionFirst will “help us design a roadmap for our future.”

In January, VisionFirst launched an online survey to gather more input from the community

“The survey is part of an overall competitive economic development assessment of our community,” Diaz said. “To be successful, we need to hear from the community.”
