James Robert “Jim” Horan Jr. passed away Wednesday, March 21, 2018. He was 82 years old.

Mr. Horan was born in St. Louis, Mo. He grew up in Houston, Texas. He lived in Vicksburg for many years.

Mr. Horan was retired from Burke Handling. He was a member of the Rotary Club in Vicksburg. Mr. Horan was a member of St. Albans Episcopal Church, where he was a very active member. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War.

He is survived by his wife, Sherry Biedenharn Horan; sons, James Robert Horan (Robin), and Brian Edward Horan (Stephanie); daughters, Cynthia Horan, and Lynda Horan Hubbard (William); a sister, Margaret Ann Barrier; grandchildren, Sarah Horan Cortez, Bryce Horan, Savannah Horan, Darcy Horan, Devin Horan, Sophie Horan and Taylor Horan.

Graveside service will be 2 p.m. Saturday, March 24, 2018, at St. Albans Episcopal Church Cemetery.
