Valerie A. Grant died Tuesday, March 27, 2018, in Vicksburg. She was 54.

Funeral services for Valerie A. Grant will be Saturday, March 31, 2018, at Greater Grove Street Baptist Church at 10 a.m. and repose at the church for 9 a.m.

Visitation will be Friday, March 30, 2018, from 1 to 6 p.m. with family present from 5 to 6 p.m. at C J Williams Mortuary Services, 4310 Halls Ferry Road.

Valerie worked in the medical field and was a mother of the Greater Grove Street Baptist Church, where she served faithfully until her demise.

She was preceded in death by Willie and Katie Harris, Robert and Mamie Sullivan Porter, Danielle J. Grant and Charles Porter.

She leaves to cherish her memories, one son, Milton James Grant IV (Nikki); one daughter, Melissa Jacinta Grant; her father, Charles Porter; her mother, Shirley Porter; eight grandchildren, James Grant, Maryah J. Grant, Milton J. Grant V, Marcus J. Grant, Brad M. Terrell Jr., Brielan N. Terrell, Jade M. Grant, Myah N. Terrell; one brother, Timothy Porter; three sisters, Kathleen (James) Jones, Pamela Mounger, Kimberly (Chester) Everett; one god-sister, Gwendolyn McCoy; one special daughter, Latoya Moore; and a host of uncles; aunts; and other relatives.
