A Forest woman was arrested on multiple drug charges after drugs were found in a hotel room at the Ameristar Casino, 4146 Washington St. Wednesday.

Vicksburg police Sgt. Johnnie Edwards said Sytoria Wash, 40, 603 Wicker St., Forest, is charged with possession of Ecstasy and misdemeanor possession of marijuana after officers called to the casino found the drug Ecstasy and less than an ounce of marijuana in the room.

She was released on $5,000 bond.

In other cases:

• An undetermined amount of change was reported taken about 4:55 p.m. Thursday from an air vending machine at the Circle K, 3140 Indiana Blvd.

• Shots were reported fired about 10:14 p.m. Thursday at the intersection of Military and Ken Karyl avenues.

• Shots were reported fired about 11:34 p.m. Thursday at the intersection of Ken Karyl Avenue and Baker Street.

• Officers and a K-9 were called to Foam Packaging, 35 Stennis Road, Wednesday about possible drugs on the property found baggies of methamphetamine, cocaine and marijuana, and two 9mm handguns by an 18-wheeler. No arrests were made and the case is under investigation.

• Shots were reported fired about 7:31 p.m. Wednesday in the area of East Avenue and Cherry Street.

• Shots were reported fired about 9:09 p.m. Wednesday in the 2800 block of Confederate Avenue.

• Shots were reported fired about 10:46 p.m. in the area of Short Cherry and Speed streets.

Police made the following arrests Wednesday:

• Timothy Lanier Strong, 28, 204 Winters Lane, was arrested about 1:33 a.m. on Fifth North Street on charges of having an expired driver’s license, no proof of insurance, failure to stop vehicle when officer signaled and running a stoplight.

• Erik Lee Johnson, 37, 1635 Smallwood Drive, Jackson, was arrested about 2:55 a.m. in the 4100 block of Washington Street, on charges of simple assault — creating fear and disorderly conduct.

• Thomas Calvin, 33, 5871 Fisher Ferry Road, was arrested by Warren County sheriff’s deputies on a warrant charging him with sexual battery. He was released on bond. Bond information was unavailable.

• A warrant was served on Julie Lavon James, 42, 333 Standard Hill Road.

• A warrant was served on Paul Allan Cowans, 36, 740 Dabney St.

• Lance Thomas Burton, 30, 107 Fairy Lane, was arrested about 11:25 a.m. in the 1000 block of Grove Street on a charge of contempt of court. He was also served with a warrant.

• Rashad Jerome Neal, 23, 506 Melrose Ave., was arrested about 12:25 p.m. on Clay Street on three counts of contempt of court.

• Larenzai Chatanga Chiplin, 18, 1300 Bowmar Ave., was arrested about 1:10 p.m. at the Vicksburg Police Department on a charge of contempt of court.

• Christy Robin Davis, 33, 3517 Rose Mary Ave., Jackson, was arrested about 2 p.m. at the police department on a charge of contempt of court.

• Wilbert Tyler Dewayne Crawley, 18, 108 Ethel St., was arrested about 2:18p.m. in the 3700 block of Drummond St., on a charge of disorderly conduct.

• Noel Larry Jackson III, 24, 205 Willow St., was arrested about 5 p.m. at the police department on a charge of false pretense.
