Two burglaries reported Monday

Electronics and shoes were reported taken in two burglaries occurring Monday.

A 52-inch flat screen TV, 32-inch flat screen TV, a pair of size 1 Nike huaraches shoes, one pair of size 3 blue Jordans, a 10-inch computer tablet and a pair of size1 blue and size3 red Jordans were reported taken about 8:05 p.m. Monday from a home in the 5000 block of U.S. 61 South.

Monday morning, a 32-inch Samsung flat screen TV was reported taken about 7:06 a.m. from the Vicksburg Car Store, 2800 Clay St.

In another case, shots were reported fired in the 1400 block of High Street.

Vicksburg police made the following arrest Monday and Tuesday:
• Leah Brooke Taylor, 20, 90 Porters Chapel Road, was arrested Tuesday about 8:21 a.m. in the 90 block of Porters Chapel Road on a charge of contempt of court.

• Alma Marie Mixon, 36, 207 Ridgeway Drive, was arrested about 2:12 p.m. Tuesday at the intersection of Yeager Street and Moore Drive on a charge of contempt of court. She was also served with warrants.

• Latoya Renette Hudson, 36, 1200 Mission 66, was arrested about 8:43 p.m. in the 300 block of Bayou Boulevard on charges of malicious mischief, having an open container of alcohol and second-offense domestic assault.

• Irvin Jerome Bowie, 39, 2933 Bishop Ave., Jackson, was arrested about 4:16 a.m. Monday in the 4100 block of Washington Street on a charge of trespassing.

• Warrants were served Monday on Reginald Lashun Jones, 39, 202 Demby Drive.

• Raymond Horace Guin, 44, 2229 Pearl St., was arrested Monday about 3:15 p.m. at the Vicksburg Police Department on two counts of simple assault.

• Laronda Lameka Bishop, 24, 818 Speed St., was arrested about 3:53 p.m. at the police department on a charge of contempt of court.

• Audrey Anna Ward, 25, 1026 Aaron Watts Road, Pattison, was arrested about 5:43 p.m. in the 2100 block of Iowa Street on a charge of first-offense shoplifting.

Police responded to the following calls Monday and Tuesday:

• 5:21 p.m. Tuesday, 2100 block of Iowa Boulevard, shoplifting.

• 12:06 p.m. Tuesday, 3500 block of Pemberton Square, simple assault — creating fear.

• 10:36 p.m. Tuesday, 1100 block of Mulberry Street, verbal disturbance.

• 11:38 a.m. Monday, 700 block of Dabney Street, trespass and simple assault.

• 1:51 p.m. Monday, 4100 block of Clay Street, simple assault — bodily injury.

• 3:03 p.m. Monday, 200 block of Old Cain Ridge, petit larceny and malicious mischief.

• 9:03 p.m. Monday, 300 block of Bayou Boulevard, malicious mischief.
