A celebration of life service has been scheduled for Hal Blane Walker for Sunday April 22, 2018, at 2 p.m. at St. Paul Family Life Center, 437 Tiffintown Road in Bovina.

Mr. Walker will lie in repose at St. Paul Family Life Center at 1 p.m. until the hour of service.

Visitation will be Saturday, April 21, 2018, at C J Williams Mortuary Services from 1 to 7 p.m. with family present from 6 to 7 p.m.

Hal Blane Walker, 56, was born Dec. 31, 1961. He confessed Christ at the age of 12 under the direction of the Rev. A.B. Brown of Mount Pilgrim Freetown. Shortly after, his family joined the St. Paul Church in Bovina. Hal joined the St. Paul Male Chorus in 2007, and his favorite songs were “Somebody Touched Me” by Lee Williams and “Prayer Changes Things” by The Jackson Southernairs. He was also a faithful member of the Warren County Inspiration Choir, same being, Warren County Institute and Convention.

He was ordained as a Deacon of the St. Paul Church on June 30, 2016, and served his role with conviction. He was employed with Neil Gas and Waring Oil company as a transport driver for over 30 years. He also worked for Robins Funeral Home and Smith Mortuary as a funeral director.

He was an avid outdoorsman and his special hobbies included fishing and hunting. He was an outstanding husband, father, brother and friend.

Hal was preceded in death by his father, Oliver Walker Sr.; his mother, Gracie Walker; sister, Wendolyn Walker; and brother, Columbus Walker.

He leaves to cherish his memories, his wife, Monica Walker; one daughter, Amber Shantaye Johnson (Johnny); on stepson, Fredrick Hall Hudson II (Jenny); sisters, Gloria McGowan (Jimmy) and Beverly Williams; brothers, Oliver Walker Jr., Elvis Walker, Ricky Johnson and Cedrick Johnson; on godson; one goddaughter; and a host of grandchildren; nieces; nephews; uncles; aunts; family and friends.
