One of the best baseball seasons in Tallulah Academy history ended Friday with a 4-3 loss to Claiborne Academy in the semifinal round of the MAIS Class A playoffs.

Claiborne Academy swept the best-of-three series and advanced to next week’s championship series against either Desoto School or Tunica Academy.

Tallulah (11-10) led 3-2 entering the bottom of the seventh inning in Game 2. Claiborne, however, loaded the bases with one out and scored the tying run on a bases-loaded walk. Rafe Robinett then hit a hard grounder that turned into an error, allowing Ay Heard to score the winning run.
