Bobbie Lee Booze Yates

Bobbie Lee Booze Yates transitioned from this life to the heavenly circle on Friday morning, June 8, 2018, from her home at the age of 94.

Mrs. Yates was retired from Anderson Tully, a long-time homemaker, and a caregiver to family, friends and her neighbors. She grew up in the Catholic faith and then later in life, changed to the Baptist faith and then to nondenominational.

Mrs. Yates was preceded in death by her father, Robert Booze; and her mother, Hattie Plummer; three brothers, John Carey, William Branch and Melvin Branch; a sister, Rosemary Booze; and two sons, John Henry Yates and James Dixon Yates.

She leaves to cherish her memories, a devoted godson, Charles Griffin of Vicksburg; a granddaughter, Jeanetta Yates Swanson of Alexandria, Va; and a host of other grandchildren in Vicksburg, Alabama and Illinois; her nieces, Janice Carey Ellis of Atlanta, Ga., Angela Harris Wilson (Charles), Sharon Harris Sanders (Richard), Michelle Harris, Laquita Williams (Marcus), Shirley Harris and Jrbreda Warren (Michael), all of Vicksburg; her nephews, Stanley Woods, David Adams, and William “Wilmo” Woods, all of Vicksburg; her goddaughters, Linda Marie Jackson and Gwendolyn Draper, both of Vicksburg; as well as a host of grand and great nieces and nephews in Vicksburg, Alabama, Illinois and Atlanta, Ga.
