The first preliminary night, out of three, of the 2018 Miss Mississippi Pageant opened this evening and concluded with Miss New South Tanner Fant being named the first preliminary winner in Talent and Miss Tupelo Asya Branch being named the first preliminary winner in Swimwear at the Vicksburg Convention Center. The pageant will resume Thursday at 7 p.m.

He is a native of Tuscaloosa, Ala. and graduated from the University of Southern Mississippi with a bachelor’s degree in Photojournalism.
