Funeral services for Ida Mae Dotson are Wednesday, June 27, in the Chapel of W. H. Jefferson Funeral Home at 1 p.m.; interment shall follow in the Cedar Hill Cemetery.

Ida Mae Dotson passed away on Monday, June 18, in the Merit Health River Region Medical Center following a brief illness. She was 99.

She was retired from the Social Security Administration, and had been a member of the Holly Grove M. B. Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Alfred and Luline Collins; her brothers,  David Collins and Samuel Collins; and her sisters, Beatrice Klein, and Ruby Collins.

She is survived by her two  sons, Alfred Andrew Dotson of Rialto, California, and Fredrick Dotson of Ontario, California; her three daughters Laura Weir of Santa Monica, California, Luline Dotson of Vicksburg and Anita Dotson Jordan of Longview, Texas; 11 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
