Man arrested for counterfeit bills

A Vicksburg man faces charges of theft from a vehicle and possession of counterfeit bills after his arrest early Sunday by Vicksburg police, Sgt. Johnnie Edwards said.

Bershard Devaun Brooks, 20, 43 Randall St., was arrested about 12:02 a.m. Sunday on city warrants. Bond information was not available.

• Vicksburg police NET Team officers about 1:15 a.m. Sunday at Letitia and Meadow streets, arrested  Anthony Dewayne Woodland, 25, 205 Starlight Drive, on charges of possession of marijuana and six misdemeanor warrants.

• Shots were reported fired about 12:51 a.m. Monday in the area of Weems and High streets.

• A 2001 Toyota van was reported taken from the Speed Mart, 2320 Washington St. It was later recovered when officers stopped the vehicle and two men ran fled on foot.

• Shots were reported fired about 8:57 p.m. at the intersection of Bowmar Avenue and Drummond Street.

• Shots were reported fired about 10:57 p.m. at the intersection of Sky Farm and Hills of the Valley avenues.

• Shots were reported fired at the intersection of Meadowvale Drive and Second Avenue.

• A window air conditioning unit was reported taken from a home in the 2800 block of Acadia Street.

The Vicksburg Police Department made the following arrests between Thursday and Tuesday:

• Jason Antonio Shelton, 36, 2604 Togo St., was arrested Sunday at 9:04 a.m. on the 2700 block of Alcorn Drive for malicious mischief and trespassing

• Treylan Deandre Brooks, 22, 203 Starlight, was arrested Sunday at 2:26 a.m. on Cain Ridge for contempt of court and possesion if marijuana in a vehicle

• Ambus Eugene Wallace, 34, 2779 Old 3 Highway, Edwards, was arrested at 10:39 p.m. Saturday at the intersection of Grove and Locust streets for no proof of insurance and suspended driver’s license

• Michael Shane Rollison, 31, 127 Warren St., was arrested 10:39 p.m. Saturday in the 1300 block of Washington St. for public drunkenness and indecent exposure

• Barry Luvell King, 45, 1503 Dana Road, was arrested at 8:55 p.m. Saturday in the 800 block of Adams St. for DUI-2nd and no proof of insurance

• Walter Mickey Jr., 56, 212 Bear Creek, Valley Park, was arrested on at 5:21 p.m. Saturday on Clay St. for DUI-1st, Driving the wrong way, no insurance, seatbelt violation and driver’s license expired or none

• Bruce Alan Lagrone, 36, 113 Chandlers Cove, was Saturday at 5:30 p.m. Friday for contempt of court and was served capias warrants

• Eddie Lee Sizer, 39, 1203 2nd North St., was arrested Saturday at 4:18 p.m. on South Circle for trespassing

• Gerlad Dewayne Vanderford, 47, 1990 Redbone Road, was served capias warrants Thursday at 9:41 p.m. on Interstate 20 and arrested for contempt of court

• Eddie Miller Vaugh, 62, 121 Ash St. was served capias warrants Friday at 4:13 p.m. in the 700 block of Veto St.

• Ledale Marquise Miles, was arrested Friday at 1:25 p.m. in the 800 block of Veto St. for burglary

• Minnie Nicole Henton, 36, 1907 Court St., was arrested Friday at 3:50 p.m. in the 1000 block of Grove St. for malicious mischief

• Walter Lyn Templeton, 48, 167 Countryside Drive, Farmington, Arkansas, was arrested Friday at 2:56 p.m. on Halls Ferry Road for public drunkenness

• Jason Antonio Shelton, 36, 2604 Togo St. was arrested Friday at 3:08 p.m. for trespassing and shoplifting

• Devan Lamorris Benard, 31, 96 Margurite Drive, was arrested Friday at 11:04 a.m. for simple assult

• Danny Lee Woodland Jr., 21, 1918 Olive St., was served capias warrants at 12:46 p.m. Friday at the police station

• Kenyanna Shanea Gray, 26, 2727 Alcron Drive, was served capias warrants at 11:48 a.m. Friday at the police station

• Eto Falola Moore, 40, 1140 Jacobs Drive, Raymond, was arrested at 9:12 a.m. Friday at the police station for bail bond jumping

• Joseph Peter Edmond, 30, 1950 Hope St., was arrested at 9:50 a.m. Friday at the police station for contempt of court

• Cedric Jamaan McWilliams, 37, 3955 East Clay St., was served capias warrants Friday at 9:07 a.m. on Clay St. and arrested for contempt of court
