Drug roundup in city nets several arrests

Vicksburg police Thursday morning, assisted by Mississippi Department of Corrections and Ninth District Drug Court agents, arrested six people on felony charges, Vicksburg police Sgt. Johnny Edwards said.

The roundup began about 5 a.m. Thursday. Arrested were:

• Derrick Lashone Chiplin, 44, 1312 Bowmar Ave., sale of cocaine. He was being held in the Warren County Jail in lieu of $5,000 bond.

• Roderick Mashun Davis, 34, 1404 Bowmar Ave., two counts sale of cocaine. He was being held in the Warren County Jail in lieu of $30,000 bond.

• Tyler De’quan Mixon, 18, 1501 Main St., two counts sale of cocaine. He was being held in the Warren County Jail in lieu of $30,000 bond.

• Doc Davis Jr., no age given, 1014 Vine St., sale of cocaine. He was released on $20,000 bond.

• Keith Anthony Sanders, no age given, 725 Hall Road, receiving stolen property. He was being held in the Warren County Jail in lieu of $1,500.

• Ricarldo Lydell Jones, no age given, 128 Alcorn Drive, two counts sale of cocaine. He was being held in the Warren County Jail in lieu of $20,000 bond.

In another case, Lakeisha Montgomery, 39, 1046 Warner Road, Lorman, was arrested Wednesday on a warrant from Claiborne County charging her with failure to appear in court.

• Patricia Jean Parker, 33, 1001 First North St., was arrested about 8:39 a.m. at the Vicksburg Police Department on a charge of simple assault-creating fear.

• Keshonda Deshayla Parks, 29, 1912 Olive St., was arrested about 3:42 p.m. Wednesday at the police department on two counts of contempt of court.

• A warrant was served on Alice Michelle Vample, 29, 1205 China St. C-5.

• Asia Kelontai Russell, 22, 302 Crestline Lane, was arrested about 4:21 p.m. in the 200 block of Ridgeway on a charge of public drunkenness and giving false information to police.
