Mary Katherine Brown, a former Vicksburg resident, passed away on Friday, Aug. 3, in the St. Dominic’s Medical Center following a lengthy illness. She was 69. 

She was retired from the Mississippi Department of Environmental Quality and the former chair for the Mississippi Democratic Party.

Funeral arrangements are incomplete with W. H. Jefferson Funeral Home in charge.
