Mr. Jack Edward Pickett passed away Monday, Aug. 6, 2018. He was 91 years old.

Mr. Pickett was born in Petrolia, Texas. He was a resident of Vicksburg since 1964. He married his wife of 67 years, Muriel, in Saskatchewan, Canada. He retired in 1986 from Waterways Experiment Station in Vicksburg. He attended Porters Chapel United Methodist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Muriel Pickett; daughter, Kimberley Black (Jerry); sons, Jack “Rusty” Pickett (Ruth), Sam Pickett (Mary), and Kevin Pickett; 9 grandchildren, and 8 great-grandchildren.

Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 11, 2018, in the chapel of Glenwood Funeral Home with the Rev. Don Williams and the Rev. Bob Ford officiating. Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday.

Pallbearers will be Jake Pickett, Gerald Black, Jr., Jonathan Pickett, Robert Pickett, Jorge Soto, and Kevin Glen Pickett. Honorary pallbearers will be Arnold Lumberly, Ken Warren, Jill Pickett, Rachel Black, Katy Pickett, and Kim Garcia.
