Man indicted for shooting at K&B Lounge

A Vicksburg man has been indicted on multiple counts involving a February shooting at the K&B Lounge on Green Hill Road.

The indictments charge Jerald Jamarcus Smith, 25, 205 Hills of the Valley, with attempted murder and possession of a firearm after felony conviction.

Smith is accused of shooting Jonathon Daniel Wilson, 33, during an argument at the K&B Lounge.

According to Warren County Sheriff’s Office reports, the shooting was the result of an argument between several people that began in the lounge and the management asked the participants to leave. The argument continued in the parking lot and Wilson was shot in the left hand, left bicep and the lower chest.

In another case, Cedrick Andreal Blackmore, 32, 65 Smallwood Drive, was indicted on two counts of DUI-aggravated and one count of leaving the scene of an accident.

According to the indictment, charges involve a Jan. 23, 2016, wreck in which a woman and her 9-year-old son were killed and two other people injured.

Blackmore is accused of rear-ending the car occupied by the woman and child and causing it to cross into the opposite lane, where it hit another car head-on.

Other indictments included:

• Jerrell Donnell Oliver, 25, 1103 Jefferson St., Apt. 305; two counts of sexual battery involving a victim under the age of 14. The indictment involves to incidents that occurred in December.

• Phillip Lewis II, 35, 7093 U.S. 61 South Lot 20; sexual battery involving a victim under the age of 14. The indictment involves an incident that occurred in May.

• Hunter Cryer, 16, 1245 Mount Alban Road Lot 8; vehicle burglary. Cryer, who is certified to stand trial as an adult, was indicted earlier by the same grand jury on a charge of larceny-motor vehicle.

• Colby Michael Ashley, 31, 50 Massey Lane; two counts of grand larceny and one count of non-residential burglary.

• Oscar Christopher McNeil, 31, 514 Feld St., sale of a controlled substance-methamphetamine.

• Marcus Johnson, 27, 373 Barnes St., Jackson; past post betting. McNeil is accused of placing or increasing a bet on an event after learning the outcome.

• Henry Earl Armstead, 35, 2418 Halls Ferry Road; vehicle burglary.

• Michael Anthony Tavares, 32, 221 27th 105th Ave., Queens Village New York; possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute-marijuana.

• David Maurice Evans, 32, 3110 Washington St.; possession of a weapon after felony conviction. He is also charged with possession of contraband within a jail or correctional facility, which accuses him of having a cell phone in the Warren County Jail.

• Jarrad Lemont Williams, 21, 2727 Alcorn Drive No. 207; possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute-marijuana, and possession of a firearm after felony conviction.

• Ricky Lee Perkins, 20, 824 Polk St.; possession of contraband within a jail or correctional facility. Perkins is accused of having a cell phone in the Warren County Jail.

• Anferne Rashad Chiplin, 21, 1414 First East St.; possession of contraband within a jail or correctional facility. Chiplin is accused of having a cell phone in the Warren County Jail.

• Jeremy Blake Bowlin, 26, 3400 U.S. 80 Lot 4; possession of stolen property.
