Carlis Ann Miller Abney, a lifelong Vicksburg resident, lost her battle with cancer on Aug. 13, 2018, in her home surrounded by her husband, James E. Abney, and her daughters, Julie Speights (Ric) and Margaret Brewer at the age of 69. She was the owner of Taylors Audit & Tax Service.
