A memorial service for William “Jimmy Lee” Braxton, 52, a resident of Gulfport, will be held Saturday, Aug. 25, at Valley Park Baptist Church, with Bro. Billy Tolbert officiating.

Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the hour of the service at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at the church.

Mr. Braxton died Aug. 9, 2018, in Gulfport. He was born in Vicksburg and lived most of his life in Valley Park. He was a member of Valley Park Baptist Church.

He is survived by his daughter Felicia (Dustin) Grantham of Vicksburg; mother, Sue Barnes of North Carolina; father, Jimmy (Jeane) Braxton of Valley Park; sister, Suzette (Russ) Garceau of Nashville, Tennessee; brothers, Bert Braxton of Neelyeville, Missouri, and Garland Barnes of Gulfport, Jason (Karen) Barnes of Vicksburg; stepbrothers, Brooks Trisler of Fort Worth, Texas, Cade (DeJuana) Trisler of Madison, and Roger Trisler of Gluckstadt.
