Juton “Tiny” Miller

Funeral services for Juton “Tiny” Miller are to be held on Saturday, Sept. 1, in the House of Peace Worship Church at 12 noon with the Rev. John Carrol officiating; interment shall follow under the direction of W. H. Jefferson Funeral Home. There will be a visitation held on Friday, Aug. 31, in the funeral home from 6 to 7 p.m.

Juton “Tiny” Miller passed away on Sunday, Aug. 26, in Merit Health River Region Medical Center following a lengthy illness. She was 69. 

She was retired from the city of Vicksburg and was a member of the New Mt. Zion M. B. Church, where she also served as a Sunday school teacher, usher and member of the choir. She was a 1969 graduate of Rosa A Temple High School.

She was preceded in death by her father, Leon Robinson; her mother, Hazel Lee Demby; her brother, Joe Tolliver; and her sisters, Linda Washington, Regina Powell and Clotile Soloan.

She is survived by her two sons, Kenny Claiborne of Longview, Texas, and Billie Miller Jr. of Wilmington, North Carolina; her brother, Leon Robinson Jr. of Vicksburg; her two sisters, Mary Lee Hill and Barbara “Ducey” Griffin, both of Vicksburg; three grandchildren, six great grandchildren and a special friend, Benjamin Poole of Vicksburg.
