M-Braves finish season by beating Shrimp

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The Mississippi Braves finished the 2018 season on a positive note Monday, by beating the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp 4-1.

The M-Braves were eliminated from playoff contention in the Southern League on Saturday. They finished the season with a 67-71 overall record, 38-30 in the second half, and were a game out of first place in the South Division.

Enderson Franco allowed one run in five innings Monday, walked one batter and struck out five.
Josh Graham retired all nine batters faced over three innings, and Thomas Burrows surrendered one hit in the ninth but closed the door for his sixth save.

Burrows finished the season by dealing 12 1/3 scoreless innings and was 6-for-6 in save chances. M-Braves pitchers retired 13 of the final 14 Jacksonville batters on Monday.

Alejandro Salazar and Ray-Patrick Didder both doubled and scored a run, while Jonathan Morales and Carlos Martinez each went 2-for-3 with an RBI.
