Collins said the crime was “definitely domestic” with the deceased consisting of the suspect, a father and a daughter.

“That’s what it appears as for now,” he said. “We’ve got three dead, with one self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head.”

Collins is withholding the identities of the deceased pending notification of the families.

Henry Watson lives next to the house where the bodies were found. He was watching television when he heard gunshots.

“I heard two shots, then a pause, then I heard two more shots, then a pause again and I heard one more shot,” he said.

Watson said he’d lived in that neighborhood for about five years and had helped the suspect’s father rehab the house before the couple moved in. But in the four years the couple had lived there, Watson had never spoken to them.

“They didn’t never hardly ever come out,” he said.

Woodrow Scott lives directly across the street from Watson. He’s lived on Wood Street since 2000.

He and his stepson came home some time after 4 p.m. from running errands.

“When we pulled up, we heard gunfire,” he said. “We heard that and there was a lady running up the street saying, ‘Call the police. Call the police. He shot my husband in the face.’”

He sent his stepson to call 911.

“After that, everything started prevailing. The police got here,” he said.

Scott said a young couple who appeared to be in their 30s lived in the house.

“I never had no contact with them,” he said.

Watson was saddened by the shootings.

“This is a quiet neighborhood,” he said.
