Pratt and Wallis to wed Dec. 15

Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Vincent Pratt of Madison, formerly of Vicksburg, announce the engagement of their daughter, Lauren Elizabeth Pratt to Trenton James Wallis son of Mr. and Mrs. Tobian Kyle Wallis of Baton Rouge.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Ms. Josephine Griefield Pratt of Vicksburg, Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Pratt of Ridgeland, Mrs. Susan Carpenter of Granbury, Texas, and the late Dr. T.W. Carpenter, Jr. of San Angelo, Texas.
The prospective bridegroom is the grandson of Mrs. Arletta Averette and the late John O. Averette of Baton Rouge, Ms. Sharon Gail Dryden of Zachary, La., and the late William Edwin Wallis of Walls, Miss.
Miss Pratt is a 2013 graduate of Madison Central High School and a 2017 graduate of Millsaps College where she received a Bachelor of Business Administration degree and a minor in communication. While at Millsaps, she was a member of the Chi Omega Sorority serving as social chairman. She also played on the tennis team her freshman and sophomore years.
Miss Pratt is an insurance producer with Nick Pontiff State Farm in New Orleans.
Mr. Wallis is a 2011 graduate of Episcopal High School in Baton Rouge and a 2015 graduate of Millsaps College, where he received a degree in political science and served as president of the Sigma Alpha Episilon Fraternity. Mr. Wallis received his juris doctorate from Loyola University New Orleans College of Law in 2018. At Loyola, he competed on the National Moot Court team. He is an associate at Galloway, Johnson, Tompkins, Burr, & Smith Law Firm in Houston.
The wedding will be held at 5:30 p.m. Dec. 15, 2018 at The Shrine of Our Lady Prompt Succor in New Orleans. A reception will follow at the Elms Mansion.
