VPD looking for armed robbery suspects

Vicksburg police are continuing their search for two men who robbed two Dollar Tree employees at the store at 2904 Clay St. late Monday night.
Vicksburg Police Chief Milton Moore said the men, one of them displaying a handgun, slipped up on the employees as they were leaving, took the store’s bank bag and fled.
He said no one was injured in the robbery.
It was the second time a robbery occurred at the store.
On Oct. 9, 2017, a man walked into the store as it was opening about 9 a.m. and handed the clerk a note saying, “This is a robbery.”
The clerk opened up the register, gave the man an undisclosed amount of cash, and he left the store on foot.
In other cases:
• A Frigidaire stove was reported taken about 9:11 a.m. Tuesday from Magnolia Estates, 1333 U.S. 61 South.
• A tree climber, yard equipment, large dog kennel, golf clubs, assorted fishing reels, tackle box, turkey cookers, two propane tanks and assorted tools were among the items reported taken about 8:33 p.m. Tuesday from a storage shed in the 100 block of Fleetwood Drive.
• Someone attempted to pass a forged prescription about 4:37 p.m. Tuesday at the Walmart Pharmacy, 2150 Iowa Blvd. No arrests have been made, and police have a suspect in the case.
• A window on a 2012 Chevrolet parked at the Courtyard by Marriott, 1 Underwood Drive, was reported broken about 4:56 a.m.Tuesday.
• Redwing Steel-toed work boots, a green rain suit and $5 in change were reported taken about 4:56 a.m. Tuesday from a 2017 Ford F-150 pickup parked at the Courtyard by Marriott, 1 Underwood Drive.
• A .38-caliber special handgun and $20 were reported taken about 4:56 a.m. from a 2012 Ford F-350 pickup parked at the Courtyard by Marriott, 1 Underwood Drive.
• Shots were reported fired about 9:55 p.m. Tuesday at Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and Alcorn Drive.
