Funeral services for Aleck Tolliver will be 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 6, at Rose Hill M. B. Church with the Rev. Robert L. Miller. Sr. officiating. Interment will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery under the direction of W. H. Jefferson Funeral Home.

Visitation will Friday at the funeral home from 6 to 7 p.m.

He passed away Sunday, Sept. 30, at University Medical Center following a brief illness. He was 81.

He was retired from Yellow Freight Line Trucking Co., and served in the U S Army. He and was a member of the Locust Grove M. B. Church, and a Mason.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James Tolliver and Florine Burns Williams; and his wife, Elizabeth Tolliver.

He is survived by his son, Henry Marshall of Angie, Louisiana; his daughter, Eloise Davis of Vicksburg; his four brothers, John Williams, Bobby Williams and James Tolliver, all of Vicksburg, and Lonnie Williams of Shreveport, Louisiana; his sisters, Rosemary Carter, Sheryl Tolliver, Annie Tolliver, Gloria Smith, Bertha Schaffer and Margaret Ford, all of Vicksburg, and Ella Thomas of Shreveport, Lousiana; nine  grandchildren, five great-grandchildren.
