A weekly recap of performances of college football and NFL players from the Vicksburg area:

• Ole Miss offensive lineman Ben Brown (St. Aloysius) started at right guard and helped the Rebels amass a school-record 826 total yards in a 70-21 win over Louisiana-Monroe.

• Jackson State cornerback Alexander Shaw (Warren Central) had four tackles in a 30-27 win over Arkansas-Pine Bluff.

• Southeast Missouri State defensive lineman Josh Price (St. Aloysius) had three tackles and one-half sack in a 70-38 victory over Tennessee Tech.

• Central Arkansas safety Michael Ware (Warren Central) had five tackles and one pass breakup in a 66-35 win over Houston Baptist.

• Cornell College (Iowa) wide receiver Patrick Brown (Vicksburg High) caught eight passes for 60 yards and one touchdown in a 47-10 loss to Illinois College. Brown also returned two kickoffs for 53 yards.

• Belhaven linebacker Denarrius Noel (Hinds AHS) had six tackles, including one for loss, and one pass breakup in a 27-20 loss to McMurry.

• Tennessee Titans cornerback Malcolm Butler (Vicksburg High) had two solo tackles in a 13-12 loss to the Buffalo Bills.
