Funeral services for Leonard W. Miller are to be held on Friday, Oct. 12, in the chapel of W H Jefferson Funeral Home at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Steve Randle officiating; interment shall follow in the Cedar Hill Cemetery. There will be a visitation held on Thursday, Oct. 11, in the funeral home from 6 to 7 p.m. Leonard W. Miller passed away on Thursday, Oct. 4, in Merit Health River Region Medical Center following a lengthy illness. He was 54.

He was retired having worked as a security guard in Los Angeles.

He was preceded in death by his father, Leonard Miller; maternal grandfather, Willie Sledge; maternal grandmother, Avis Lee Michell; paternal grandfather, George Miller and paternal grandmother, Ruby Williams.

He is survived by his mother, Emma Miller of Valley Park; his son, Maurice Miller of Greenville; his two daughters, Erin Miller of Las Vegas, and Rosie Sylvester of Vicksburg; his three brothers, Billy Ray Miller and Keith Miller, both of Las Vegas, and Calvin Miller of Vicksburg; his six sisters, Mary Reed of Jackson, Shirley Hogan of Las Vegas, Virginia Miller and Judge Awala, both of Riverdale, Georgia, and five grandchildren.
