Hamic Steed III, a former Vicksburg resident, passed away on Tuesday, Oct. 9, in Los Angeles, following a brief illness. He was 58. 

He was preceded in death by his father, Hamic Steed Jr., and his sister, Gloria Steed.

He is survived by his mother, Alice Steed; his two sisters, Yolanda James and Carolyn Raymond; a brother, Raymond Steed; an aunt, Eula Bell, and others.
