Michael Edward Jacobs died on Monday, Oct. 8, 2018, in Kansas City, Missouri. He was 52 years old. 

Mr. Jacobs was a graduate of Skyline High School in Dallas, Texas, and the University of Phoenix. He was a representative of the Peterbilt Company in Kansas City, Kansas, where he was a member of the top 100 sales force in 2017. As a young man, he frequently visited his Vicksburg family.

He is survived by his wife, Rebecca Dunaway Jacobs; two children, Kyle Jacobs (Megan) and Erin Jacobs; four grandchildren, Hannah, Rowan, Reese and Hadley; two sisters: Jil Jacobs and Diane Meyer (Jay ); and his father, Leon L. Jacobs, Jr.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Polly Park, and his paternal grandparents, Leon L. Jacobs Sr. and Reinette Lewinthal Jacobs.

A memorial service will be conducted in Vicksburg at a later date.
