Spooky Sprint 5K
Registration is now open for the Spooky Sprint 5K. The 5-kilometer run and walk, 1-mile fun run and carnival is scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 27 in downtown Vicksburg and is a fundraiser for Vicksburg Catholic Schools.
The race will begin and end at BancorpSouth, 820 South Street. Runners and walkers are invited to compete in Halloween costumes for the lighthearted race. The registration fee for the 5K is $25, or $15 for the fun run for children 15 and under. To register online, visit spookysprint5k.webconnex.com/registration18.
Fall tennis program
The City of Vicksburg’s fall tennis program is now under way. Sessions are held each Monday, Wednesday and Thursday, from 5 to 6 p.m. at Halls Ferry Park through the end of the year.
