Vicksburg man facing burglary, grand larceny charges for series of break-ins

A Vicksburg man has been arrested on burglary and grand larceny charges involving a series of break-ins at Armstrong Flooring Inc., 1735 North Washington St.
Vicksburg police Lt. Johnnie Edwards said Shaun Christopher Johnson, 32, 4407 Halls Ferry Road was arrested about 12:18 a.m. Monday at his at his home, and was being held in the Warren County Jail in lieu of $20,000.00.
He is accused in the Oct. 1 theft of 2014 Honda 420 ATV and surveillance equipment; the Oct. 2 theft of 10 pieces of brass bushings valued at $1,100.00, two televisions, tools and a spool of copper wire; and the Oct. 8 theft of a Kubota RTV 1140; all from Armstrong.
Edwards said Johnson was arrested on misdemeanor warrants and other felony charges may be pending.
In another case, police have issued warrants charging D’Patrick Coleman, 17, 1234 East Ave. with two counts of attempted aggravated assault after he reportedly fired at a car occupied by two people in the 1200 block of Bowmar Avenue.
According to police reports, the driver of the car said Coleman was walking on Bowmar when he saw the car and shot at it, hitting it once in the front fender.
