Funeral services for Rev. Jessie Brown will be held on Saturday, Oct. 27, 2018, at 11 a.m. at Rohelia M.B. Church, 1241 Cayuga Road in Utica. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday, Oct. 26, 2018, from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m., with the family present from 6-8 p.m. at CJ Williams Mortuary Services, 4310 Halls Ferry Road.

Rev. Jesse Brown passed away on Tuesday, Oct. 23, 2018, at the GV Sonny Montgomery VA Medical Center. He was 85.

He was the former pastor of Locust Grove MB Church in Fayette, and Brown’s Chapel in Vicksburg.

He is survived by two daughters, Pearlie Brown Owens and Jessica Burrell; four nieces, Sarah Brown Smith, Ora B. Caldwell, Jo Gregory and Mary Brown, whom also was his caregiver.
