Funeral services for Michael Jerome Garrett are to be held on Sunday, Oct. 28, in the Greater Rose Hill M.B. Church with the Rev. Walter Weathersby officiating. Interment shall follow in the Cedar Hill Cemetery with W.H. Jefferson Funeral Home in charge. There will be a visitation to be held on Saturday, Oct. 27, in the funeral home from 6 to 7 p.m.

Michael Jerome Garrett passed away on Wednesday, Oct. 24, in the UMMC following a lengthy illness. He was 57. He had worked for the city of Vicksburg and was a member of Greater Rose Hill M.B. Church.

He was preceded in death by his father, Howard Garrett.

He is survived by his mother, Louise Garrett of Vicksburg; his two sons, Howard Jenkins of Little Rock, Arkansas, and Michael Jenkins of North Little Rock, Arkansas; his daughter, Trashanda Garrett of North Little Rock, Arkansas, and a host of grandchildren.
