A recap of performances by college football and NFL players from Vicksburg-area high schools:

• Southern Miss wide receiver DeMichael Harris (St. Aloysius) caught a team-high seven passes for 62 yards, including a 43-yard touchdown that was his first as a Golden Eagle, in a 20-17 loss to Charlotte. Harris also had two rushing attempts for six yards and returned two kickoffs for 27 yards.

• Southern Miss offensive lineman Drake Dorbeck (St. Aloysius) started at left tackle.

• Middle Tennessee cornerback Chris Stamps (Warren Central) assisted on one tackle in a 51-17 rout of Old Dominion.

• Belhaven linebacker Denarrius Noel (Hinds AHS) had a team-high 13 tackles and 1 ½ tackles for loss in a 42-7 loss to Louisiana College.

• Northern Colorado cornerback Paul Wilson (Vicksburg High) had three solo tackles in a 42-39 win over Southern Utah.

• Central Arkansas safety Michael Ware (Warren Central) had a team-high 10 total tackles and one pass breakup in a 23-21 loss to McNeese State.

• Southeast Missouri State defensive lineman Josh Price (St. Aloysius) had two tackles and one pass breakup in a 56-33 win over Tennessee-Martin.

• Cornell College (Iowa) wide receiver Patrick Brown (Vicksburg High) had five receptions for 43 yards in a 22-7 victory over Knox College.

• Grambling linebacker De’Arius Christmas (Warren Central) had seven total tackles, 2 ½ tackles for loss, four quarterback hurries and one forced fumble in a 45-38 overtime win against Arkansas-Pine Bluff.
