Funeral services for Clara Lee Miller are to be held on Saturday, Nov. 3, in the Pleasant Valley M.B. Church, 2585 N. Washington St., at 11 a.m., with the Rev. James Archer officiating; interment shall follow in the Cedar Hill Cemetery with W. H. Jefferson Funeral Home in charge. There will be a visitation held on Friday, Nov. 2, in the funeral home from 6 to 7 p.m.

Clara Lee Miller passed away on Wednesday, Oct. 24, in the Merit Health River Region Medical Center following a brief illness. She was 89. 

She was a homemaker and member of Pleasant Valley M.B. Church where she also served as a mother of the church, church user and was a member of the Order of the Easter Star.

She was preceded in death by her parents, David Bridges and Eveline King; her husband, Rev. Alex Miller Sr.; her sons, Albert Lewis, Alex Miller Jr., Harry Miller and Joseph Miller; her brother, John King Jr., and sister, Rosie Lee Grover.

She is survived by her four sons, David Miller, Curtis Miller, Tyrone Miller and Kenny Jerome Miler, all of Vicksburg; her five daughters, Doris Miller Carter, Everlyn Smith, Clara Walker, Deborah Miller and Sarah Ross, all of Vicksburg; brother, Marshall Bridge of Maryville, Indiana; goddaughter, Cathy Bright, 45 grandchildren, 71 great grandchildren, and six great-great grandchildren.
