A weekly recap of how college football players from Vicksburg-area high schools fared in games played over the weekend:

• Jackson State cornerback Alexander Shaw (Warren Central) had three total tackles and one-half tackle for loss in a 34-28 victory over Prairie View A&M.

• Alcorn State wide receiver Tavares Johnson, Jr. (Vicksburg High) caught two passes for 18 yards in a 52-42 loss to New Mexico State.

• Grambling linebacker De’Arius Christmas (Warren Central) assisted on one tackle in a 24-19 win over Mississippi Valley State.

• Southern Miss offensive lineman Drake Dorbeck (St. Aloysius) started at left tackle in a 26-24 win over Marshall.

• Southern Miss wide receiver DeMichael Harris (St. Aloysius) caught one pass for three yards, and had one rushing attempt for 29 yards against Marshall. Harris also returned four kickoffs for a total of 100 yards.

• Belhaven linebacker Denarrius Noel (Hinds AHS) had 12 total tackles, 1 ½ tackles for loss, and one-half sack in a 61-13 loss to Hardin-Simmons.

• Ole Miss offensive lineman Ben Brown (St. Aloysius) started at right guard and helped the Rebels pile up 616 yards of total offense in a 48-44 loss to South Carolina.

• Northern Colorado cornerback Paul Wilson (Vicksburg High) had four total tackles in a 48-13 loss to Eastern Washington.

• Cornell College wide receiver Patrick Brown (Vicksburg High) caught three passes for 49 yards in a 23-13 win over Grinnell College.

• Southeast Missouri State defensive lineman Josh Price (St. Aloysius) had two tackles in a 38-21 victory over Tennessee State.

• Central Arkansas safety Michael Ware (Warren Central) had four total tackles, including two tackles for loss, in a 38-24 loss to Lamar.

• Millsaps defensive lineman De’Shun Younger (Vicksburg High) saw playing time, but did not record a tackle, in a 34-17 loss to Birmingham-Southern.
