A weekly recap of performances by college football and NFL players from Vicksburg-area high schools:
• Tennessee Titans cornerback Malcolm Butler (Vicksburg High) had four tackles in a 34-10 rout of his former team, the New England Patriots.
• Cornell College wide receiver Patrick Brown (Vicksburg High) caught four passes for 39 yards in a 13-6 win over Lawrence University.
• Central Arkansas safety Michael Ware (Warren Central) had nine total tackles and one pass breakup in a 40-27 loss to Incarnate Word.
• Grambling linebacker De’Arius Christmas (Warren Central) had six tackles, one sack and 1 ½ tackles for loss in a 29-16 win over Alabama A&M.
• Jackson State cornerback Alexander Shaw (Warren Central) had one tackle, two pass breakups and one quarterback hurry in a 20-2 victory against Alabama State.
• Ole Miss offensive lineman Ben Brown (St. Aloysius) started at right guard and helped the Rebels pile up 440 yards of offense in a 38-24 loss to Texas A&M.
• Southern Miss offensive lineman Drake Dorbeck (St. Aloysius) started at left tackle in a 26-23 overtime loss to UAB.
• Southern Miss wide receiver DeMichael Harris (St. Aloysius) caught two passes for seven yards against UAB.
• Belhaven linebacker Denarrius Noel (Hinds AHS) had five tackles and one sack in an 8-0 win over Sul Ross State.
